Why Mozaic Wine?

I have been savoring wine for years. Mostly just like the average wine drinker, tasting it without a real passion for what goes into the wine making process. This all changed for me once I started touring wineries and talking to wine makers. The passion that they bring to the process of wine making is unbelievable. You could easily talk to a wine maker for weeks and they would never lose passion for every single word they say about their wine.

It's amazing to go into a winery, tour a vineyard, and talk to the real people behind the wine. I think it's only at that point you can gain a true appreciation for how much of an art wine making really is. When you go to the grocery store and stare at an isle of a thousand different kinds of wine you will truly be in awe at the amount of effort that went into making that many different wines. It's wondrous what humans can do when they assert themselves to a passion such as this.

We built this site to bring our passion for wine, that same passion that comes from those wine makers we have gotten to know, to your doorstep. It's a shame to let bottles of wine get consumed without a thought for what it took to make them. And we want to change the way people look at their wine glasses forever!

Mozaic wine is here for all your wine information needs. We started this resource to cover vino topics that range from wine tasting to wine storage and everything in between. There isn't anything about wine that we don't enjoy talking about (ya, we are a little bit crazy about it). I mean really, the whole world of wine is just so fascinating- How can you not enjoy it?

Making wine has to be one of the most rewarding acts on planet earth. There is a reason it has been done for thousands of years and an entire isle at the grocery store is dedicated to wines from all over the world. Every little move that the wine maker carefully takes adds something to the wine. It is inspiring to think of the wine maker constantly touring the vineyards, holding his or her grapes, and making sure that every means possible is being utilized to take great care of them. Grapes are the lifeblood of the wine maker. Whatever affects the vineyard, affects the wine.

Most wine drinkers just don't understand the amount of care that goes into every bottle. The more you understand the process of making wine, and all the intricate details that must be managed throughout the year, the more time you will take to appreciate every sip of that Pinot Noir or Pinot Grigio. It's sad watching people chug through a bottle of wine like it's some cheap off the factory beverage like soda.

If you take anything from our website we hope it is this: Appreciate every sip of wine you drink for the rest of your life. Wine makers spend decades learning and perfecting their craft. They spend all year, every year, perfecting their recipe. They put so much of their lives into that bottle, the least you can do is take the time to really enjoy the wine. When you buy a bottle of you should put it in a wine cooler until you are ready to drink it. You should buy good wine glasses (even if you have to hunt for them in second hand stores so they cost less) to drink from. Basically, honor the wine maker by doing your part to take the most from each bottle. We hope we can add even more enjoyment to your experience with knowledge taken from our site!
